Last-start Gr.1 Manikato Stakes hero Jimmysstar (NZ) (Per Incanto) will next be seen in The Everest (1200m) at Randwick on October 17, with Nash Rawiller to partner the four-time elite-level winner.

Jimmysstar’s regular jockey, Ethan Brown, is unable to ride the gelded son of Per Incanto as he is committed to Zahrann in the G1 Caulfield Cup on the same day.

“Jimmysstar will take his place in the 2026 The Everest and will have Nash Rawiller aboard. Contracts with our slot holder are being finalised at the moment and are expected to be executed within the next 24 hours,” Jimmysstar’s managing owner, Ozzie Kheir, said.

“Although we are racing against two standouts (Ka Ying Rising and Tempted), and many other worthy participants, we feel Jimmy, having been a last start Group 1 winner, needs to be present in the richest sprint in Australia.”

Jimmysstar ran third behind Ka Ying Rising and Tempted in last year’s The Everest.
